Hacienda de San Rafael, Seville

Dating back to the 18th century, the hacienda is still a working farm where they make their own oil. The stylish, quintessentially Andalusian interiors feature antiques, earthenware urns and traditional farming tools, as well as contemporary artworks and treasures that the various members of the family have brought back from their travels from all over the world.

Accommodation

There are 11 large duplex rooms and three more private casitas with thatched roofs. They are all different but are in traditional Andalusian rustic-chic style with pitched, beamed ceilings. The rooms, which flank a courtyard framed by vibrant bougainvillea, each have a table outside. Most have the bed on the ground floor with a lounge area upstairs. Most of the marble bathrooms are partly open-plan and have a bathtub as well as a shower, with Álvarez Gómez products that have a fresh, Mediterranean fragrance. The casitas, which share an infinity pool, have a sofa bed in the living room and a comfortable outdoor seating area.

Dining

Breakfast – served on your terrace – includes toast, croissants and fruit salad with hot food cooked to order. Guests have light, lazy lunches by the pool, with gazpacho, tortilla, paella, fish, pasta and salads on offer The dinner menu changes according to what is good in the market on any given day, but might include grilled langoustines with mango and papaya salad, fillet of beef with truffles and asparagus, artichoke ravioli and orange panna cotta with mint. There are two attractive outdoor bars: Sunset and Luna.

Facilities

There are three outdoor pools and a padel tennis court. Yoga with a private instructor and in-room massages are available. There are half a dozen golf courses within easy driving distance.
