Location
It won’t surprise to learn that this city-centre favourite is just a few steps from the Steps. It’s found on Via dei Condotti, a Roman street that today hosts the highest concentration of Rome-based Italian fashion retailers. It’s the city’s answers to Milan’s Via Monte Napoleone and London’s Bond Street, all rendered in picturesque 18th century architecture. You’ll also be perfectly located for such famous sights as the Trevi Fountain. Of course, you can travel even further back in time with the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Roman Forum.
Accommodation
As a converted 19th century stately home, you can expect the very best in aristocratic indulgences. However, revisionist styling has mixed in more modern flourishes, with exposed timber ceilings looking down on richly patterned curtains, giant chic headboards and dark wood furnishings. Swap your courtyard view with an upgrade to a street overlook. Many of the Deluxe Rooms even feature original ceiling frescoes, best viewed from the comfort of your king-size bed. The Executive Rooms add in French balconies, decorative fireplaces and marble bathrooms. Some of which come with Jacuzzi bathtubs. There’s also a range of luxury apartments and suites on offer too.
Dining
Your breakfasts will be taken on the flower-filled rooftop terrace, enjoying sweeping views over the rooftops and domes of Rome’s historic centre. Highlights include a direct overlook onto the Spanish Steps and the famed Renaissance towers of the Trinità dei Monti church. Other than buffet breakfasts, you can enjoy afternoon teas, light bites and sundowner cocktails in the glass-walled café. For larger meals, you’ll have one of the world’s culinary capitals on your doorstep.
Facilities
The Inn’s heartbeat can be found in its lounge where a large selection of cocktails, drinks and snacks are served on antique tables. The English afternoon tea is particularly good, as is the iced coffee. Otherwise, the hotel swaps pools and gyms for an unrivalled location. To help plan your day, you’ll have use of the complimentary high speed WiFi.
