Château d’Audrieu, located between Caen and Bayeux, is an opportunity to travel back in time. This 18th-century edifice, listed as a historical monument, offers the warm welcome of a family home. The elegantly proportioned château is set in an extensive 25-hectare wooded park with magnificent gardens. Discover not only the beaches of the D-Day landings, but also Bayeux and its famous Tapestry of Queen Matilda; Caen, the home of the Dukes of Normandy; Mont-Saint-Michel, a treasure of French heritage; and the gourmet delights at Le Séran, Château d’Audrieu’s main restaurant. All the charms of Normandy await you here!
Chef Xavier Pouzin constantly refreshes the menu at the Château d’Audrieu’s restaurant, named “Le Séran” as a tribute to the château’s history. Consisting of three dining rooms on the ground floor, the restaurant has a warm ambiance and is painted bright red in a colour known as “Terre d’Égypte”. In the first dining room, a generous 600-bottle wine cellar occupies an entire wall between two doors! A wide range of more than 200 different wines, representing the vast majority of France’s wine-producing areas, as well as several from across Europe and the New World, has been carefully selected. The wine list includes a page entitled “Favourites” dedicated to recommendations from the sommelier. For a dinner for two, with family or friends, “Le Séran” is a welcoming spot where simplicity and fine dining come together in just the right way. The fresh seasonal produce from the garden will delight all taste buds!
