Food & wine
The peaceful town of Mendoza, set against a backdrop of mighty Andean peaks, is a gateway to some of Argentina’s best wineries. This three-day extension begins with a flight from the capital and a transfer to your chosen hotel – Club Tapiz (Superior) or Cavas Wine Lodge (Deluxe) – stopping en route to visit three prestigious wineries in the picturesque Central Valley and enjoying a lunch of locally sourced produce. The next day, the oenology continues apace as you head south past the imposing Tupungato Volcano to the Uco Valley. This 10,000 hectare region of vineyards and fruit farms has become something of a showcase for modern wine making, using cutting edge technology to create perfectly blended malbecs, tempranillos and sauvignons.
