After a buffet breakfast at the lodge, it's time to head out on the first of your included excursions, where you'll meet reindeer and the local Sami people who care for them. To begin with, your Sami guide will talk you through events that highlight their past and present culture before you enjoy the chance to drive your own reindeer sled before warming up by the fire in a traditional Sami lavvu tent. Then, with a free afternoon, perhaps take the chance to make use of the snowshoes and kick-sleds, or take advantage of the lodge's excellent spa before indulging in another three-course dinner. Later, wrap up and head out on a thrilling hunt for the Northern Lights.

Stay: Arctic Wilerness Lodge

Today starts with a thrilling snowmobile safari and the chance to spot Arctic foxes and lynx as you speed through the frozen wilderness. Return to the lodge for lunch and a tour of Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel where you'll spend tonight. Afterwards. you might wish to take part in one of the highly recommended dog sledding excursions before settling in for your final dinner. Then, it's time for a trip highlight as you retire to your snow room, where temperatures reside between a frosty -4°C and -7°C. You’ll spend the night in a thermal sleeping bag, cosy and warm on a bed of reindeer fur. It's a truly memorable experience.

After breakfast, make your way to Alta airport where you’ll board a flight, via Oslo, back to the UK.
