This 7-day itinerary sees you explore Vancouver's coastal charm as well as staying in a cosy, emblematic lodge on the shores of spectacular Egmont in British Columbia, all forested inlets, rocky shores and pristine waters. Bookend the trip with Vancouver's laidback delights, from Chinese gardens and enormous green parks to Japanese eateries and First Nations museums, before transferring to the stunning West Coast Wilderness Lodge, exploring delightful fishing villages in between. The next two nights will be spent in your cosy forest cabin, spending days kayaking and canoeing the idyllic waters and hiking shaded mountain trails. We've even included a tour via sea plane or boat into the pristine Princess Louisa Inlet, all roaring waterfalls and steep forested slopes, returning each evening to three-course gourmet dinners.

Vancouver to UK
You’ll begin your trip in comfort with complimentary VIP airport lounge access before boarding your day flight to Vancouver. On arrival, take your transfer to your hotel, the ultra-contemporary Loden, featuring opulent, sprawling rooms and a luxury spa. You're just moments away from the delights of Robson Street, Stanley Park and the Vancouver seawall, then tonight perhaps head out to sample one of Vancouver's myriad Japanese eateries or steakhouses.

Vancouver to West Coast Wilderness Lodge
After breakfast, transfer (own cost) to Vancouver Airport to board a floatplane for a scenic forty-minute flight northwest via Sechelt to West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Eggmont. During your flight you may see orca whales, dolphins and sea lions swimming below in Howe Sound's stunning islands and bays. Just before you land at the Lodge you will pass over the SWkookumchuck Rapids, the fastest salt water rapids in North America. You'll stay in a cosy suiten with wonderful panoramic vistas in this cliffside, oceanfront lodge, all timber-clad walls, wooden beams, huge windows and outdoor decks that make the most of outside's pine tree blanket and shimmering lake.

West Coast Wilderness Lodge & Princess Louisa Inlet
After hearty breakfasts where you'll enjoy the likes of brioche French toast and chorizo & applewood smoked cheddar omelettes, alongside classics like a Full English, there's a whole host of activities to enjoy to make the most of the natural surroundings. We've included a tour to the stunning Princess Louisa Inlet, an incredible fjord renowned for its awe-inspiring beauty, which you can explore either by boat or float plane. The latter sees you soaring over peaks dotted with roaring waterfalls, or choosing a cruise sees you navigate through the waters of Jervis Inlet, past towering cliffs, the rushing Malibu Rapids and historical petroglyphs – ancient rock paintings of Coast Salish First Nations origin, before reaching the pristine inlet. There's also the chance to go kayaking and canoeing on the idyllic waters, hiking the endless mountain trails and even sea diving in the marine life-rich waters. You'll come back each evening to exquisite, three-course dinners where you can expect such delights as seafood chowder, garlic mussels, ling cod, and maple whisky glazed salmon in a timber-beamed, cosy dining room, accompanied by, of course, those stunning lakeside vistas.

West Coast Wilderness Lodge to Vancouver
After breakfast, the morning is free to enjoy the lodge and surrounding wilderness before your floatplane back to Vancouver and the Loden hotel. Perhaps take the chance to explore the iconic wonder of Canada Place, or stroll among the public art and sculptures of the West End. Or, head into the city's endless verdure, from the serene Chinese garden to sprawling Stanley Park, which plays host to acres of water-lined greenery and forest. Further afield, there’s the Capilano Suspension Bridge, the world's longest and highest of its kind, a wonderful way to absorb the surrounding woodland and waterfalls.
