Today you can choose between three included winter excursions. Options include a morning tour of Banff and its wildlife, set out in search of deer, elk, and bighorn sheep. Scenic highlights included Fairmont Banff Springs, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner Lookout, the Hoodoos Viewpoint and Lake Minnewanka, alternatively a morning  icewalk tour across steel walkways built into the walls of Johnston Canyon to frozen waterfalls, caves and ice walls; or a snowshoe trek to Paint Pots mineral pools that also gives an insight into the fur trade and its impact on Western Canada.

Today choose between three included winter excursions, either experience the wonders of Maligne Canyon with an ice walk through the fifty metre gorge, or travel through the Athabasca Valley to see some of the park's most beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountain scenery to seek out all of the park's most iconic creatures, or in the evening join a Jasper Dark Sky Planetarium & Telescope experience, for a full evening of cosmic exploration, from a domed theatre experience to the largest telescope in the Rockies, all set in Jasper's Dark Sky Preserve.

Today travel southward via the spectacular Icefields Parkway back to Lake Louise, where this evening enjoy a wonderful sleigh ride beside the lake.

Although it's possible to ski from both Banff and Lake Louise, the latter offers more varied skiing, meaning these two days are the perfect time to hit the slopes. For non-skiers there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the mountain scenery, including a highly recommended snowshoeing tour.

Today leave behind the fresh mountain air and colourful sights of the Rockies. A transfer will bring you to Calgary Airport to catch your flight back to the UK arriving on Day 8
