The hotel is in the heart of Sri Lanka's cultural triangle, and is just 5 km from the rock fortress of Sigiriya that's considered to be the eighth wonder of the world. The hotel is also situated within easy reach of a number of heritage sites, including the Dambulla Rock Temple that dates back to the 1st century BC, the ancient capitals of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, as well as spectacular natural sites.

There are four types of accommodation at the hotel that have been designed to blend in with the thriving eco-system of the region. There are four Water Dwellings with woven ceilings, wooden floors and muted colours. Paddy Marsh Dwellings are situated among paddy fields and scrubland, and have luxury bathrooms with rain showers, whilst Forest Dwellings have two levels and spacious bedroom and lounge areas, and Garden Dwellings boast the latest facilities and and comforts.
Dining
There are four restaurants and bars at the hotel. The Apsara is the Jetwing's main restaurant, that offers exceptional fine dining. For a more casual atmosphere, visit the delightful Tree House Dining, a magical and unique restaurant located high in the treetops that serves Sri Lankan and Western cuisine. For drinks, visit the Graffiti Bar for an excellent array of wines and spirits, or the Sulang for refreshing cocktails, juices and smoothies.
