Location

Palazzo di Varignana rises in the elegant  setting of the hills of the town from which it takes its name, a few miles from Bologna and Castel San Pietro terme, totally immersed in the lush green landscape. The heart of the resort is Palazzo Bentivoglio - an ancient villa dating back to 1705 and renovated respecting the charm of its history - around which the Palazzo di Varignana rests on land divided between vast green spaces, parks and breath-taking views.

Accommodation

The 134 large rooms of Palazzo di Varignana are designed with state of the art technology alongside comfort. A range of rooms and suites are available in the main building, and private villas are available throughout the vast grounds. Everything you would expect from LED TV's, to walk-in showers and King sized beds. Indoor and outdoor private parking is also available.

Dining

From the intimate and cozy lounge bar serving cocktails. The Aurevo Pool restaurant offers lunch or dinner in total relaxation by the pool. For a true taste of Emilia-Romagna cuisine, the Trattoria Le Marzoline is a tribute to the typical trattorias of the area, immersed in the green hills of Varignana. The elegant Il Palazzo restaurant is located in the most stunning building of the Resort, where style and beauty are the setting for the most sophisticated dining venue. The original gourmet dishes have been created from a painstaking and expert interpretation of the tradition of creative cooking and local cuisine. For more discerning palates, dishes are paired with meticulous attention to detail, making the most of all their flavour and nutritional aspects.

Facilities

The resort has seven swimming pools, one with salt water, and hydromassage, the spa offers hot tubs, saunas, wellness rooms and other treatments, plus a fully equipped gym and outdoor routes for cycling, walking and hiking are available. There are also acres of garden to enjoy, walk amongst the olive trees and vineyards and enjoy the remarkable skyline of the gently rolling Emilian hills overlooking Bologna.
