&Beyond Sandibe Safari Lodge, Okavango Delta

Location

&Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is located in the private Chitabe concession of Botswana's Okavango Delta, beside the Santandibe River – a deep, wide channel that leads to a number of beautiful lagoons. Access to Sandibe Lodge is via plane (from either Kasane or Maun), followed by a 30-minute game-drive transfer. The main lodge is an impressive split-level 'traditional barn' structure with an inviting lounge area on the ground floor and a covered dining area just opposite. Activities here include twice-daily game drives (included), helicopter flights and photographic safaris (both at an additional cost).

Accommodation

There are eight spacious guest suites, with elevated viewing decks and facing the river. Each suite has a luxury, en suite bathroom, outdoor shower, fireplace and a private plunge pool with stunning views across the delta.

Dining

Enjoy mouthwatering, African-inspired cuisine each night – served under a sky of stars as you share stories of the day's safari adventures. Breakfast features both hot and cold options including fruit, eggs, waffles and oats, while lunch and afternoon tea are also included.

Facilities

Organic and handmade, the lodge blends perfectly with its surroundings. There's a comfortable sitting area, vast bar and lantern-lit boma area. The main attraction here, however, is of course the game drives – setting off each morning and evening in search of the abundant wildlife of the Okavango Delta. Trained guides will impart their expert knowledge as you explore the many diverse habitats of the delta, explaining the unique behaviour and characteristics of each animal that crosses your path, which on any given day might include lion, leopard, buffalo, antelope, lechwe, elephant, wild dog and fish eagle among others.
