Strand Hotel, Swakopmund

Location

Uniquely located on the iconic and historic Swakopmund Mole and surrounded on three sides by the Southern Atlantic, the Strand Hotel, offers the finest, uninterrupted sea views anywhere in this quaint historic town. The Strand Hotel can be reached from Windhoek Airport via road, taking four hours, or a 60 minute flight. The hotel also sits conveniently mid-way between the attractions of Sossusvlei and Damaraland on the classic self-drive route of Namibia's highlights.

Accommodation

A total of 125 rooms accommodate guests with beach and sea or garden views. All Standard Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling panoramic and sliding windows, with views of the sea or gardens. The extra spacious Luxury Rooms offer sea and beach views with ‘step-out’ balconies and upgraded amenities to accommodate families. Other rooms to choose from include the Enabled room as well as various Suite types including balconies.

Dining

Guests are invited to sample the three dining options at the hotel. Brewer & Butcher, a casual micro-brewery, offers an a la carte restaurant menu for  lunch and dinner, alongside bar-snacks specialising in Namibian, German and other meat dishes. The Farmhouse Deli serves an impressive breakfast with both buffet and a la carte options and later in the day bistro-style restaurant menus, a coffee shop and bakery. The Ocean Cellar specialises in seafood, with an Oyster and Wine Bar.
