Safari
Overlooking a cluster of small islands and just a stones throw away from the mighty Victoria Falls, Toka Leya enjoys one of the finest locations of any accommodation in the region.
Each spacious, climate-controlled tent features an outdoor shower and expansive wooden deck from where glorious views of the Zambezi can be enjoyed, along with the wonderful sights and sounds of passing birds and animals.
The camp's communal area features a wonderful infinity pool, dining room and relaxing lounge, all with views over the Zambezi. A wood-fired pizza oven is a big favourite among younger guests and there's an interesting curio shop featuring a range of local handicrafts.
Activities at Toka Leya include guided tours of Victoria Falls, heritage tours to Livingstone town and museum as well as sunset river cruises and fishing trips. There's also a wide range of adrenalin-based activities around the falls including jet boating and white water rafting for the more adventurous types.
Game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park afford guests fantastic wildlife viewing with regular sightings of buffalo, impala, zebra, giraffe, hippo, elephant and white rhino as well as the occasional visiting predator.
We like: the spacious and stylish tents with dramatic views of the Zambezi
Best for: those seeking luxurious accommodation with a traditional African twist
