Introduction
Agadir is the gateway to the Souss-Massa-Draa region and a popular stop on luxury tailor made holidays. This well-established tourist destination attracts sun seekers and honeymooners, who come to enjoy the spectacular golden beach that arches around the bay. A selection of top-end resorts and restaurants provide comforting sustenance to an appetite of sun, sand and sea.
South of Agadir is the Souss-Massa National Park, which stretches along the banks of the River Massa. Opened in 1991, it's one of the best places for bird watching in Morocco and an important conservation centre, with three breeding colonies of the endangered Northern Bald Ibis in residence.
