Beginning with a stay in the heart of Paris, this itinerary explores the wine-lovers paradise of Burgundy without the need to fly or drive. Included transfers and train journeys will bring you to the heart of wine country, where you'll experience the best of the region's famed produce with a visit to the Grand-Cru White Burgundy estates and vineyards, and a cooking class followed by a wine-paired lunch. Throughout your time in Burgundy, you'll also enjoy all the comforts of your COMO hotel, idyllically located in the pretty village of Puligny-Montrachet.

UK to Paris
Your journey begins with a Eurostar hop across the Channel, travelling from London’s St Pancras International to Gare du Nord in the heart of Paris. On arrival, you’ll transfer to your city-centre hotel – a boutique spa retreat dripping in Parisian sophistication, ideally positioned for you to make the most of your stay in the city of lights. Once you've settled in, take a stroll along the banks of the Seine, pause for coffee in Montmartre or dine in style at your hotel or one of Paris's esteemed restaurants. Paris to Puligny-Montrachet
Today, you'll make your own way to Gare de Paris Bercy to board a regional train to Chagny, deep in the Burgundy wine region. A private transfer will see you to your accommodation, a boutique hotel overlooking the magnificent vineyards surrounding the village of Puligny-Montrachet. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps seeking out the white Burgundy wine unique to the region.

Côte de Beaune – Cooking Class
Today, you'll be taken from your hotel to meet the chef at her home to experience a true hands-on cooking class, followed by a wine paired lunch where you'll try seven or eight varieties of local wine. You'll start cooking a whole menu from scratch, including amuse-bouche, starter, main course and dessert. The chef will start serving sparkling wines by noon. During the lunch, the chef will explain about Burgundy wines, terroirs and winemakers. She will also introduce you to the basics of the art of food and wine pairing.

Côte de Beaune Grand-Cru Vineyards
Today you'll immerse yourself in everything this region is famous for with a full day Côte de Beaune tour. You'll be taken from your hotel to the Meursault vineyards for a private tour, and private cellar tour followed by tasting of the eight most prestigious Premier Cru wines from the most well-known producers. Your guide will then explain the unique landscape of Montrachet and its Grand Cru wines before a wine and lunch pairing at the most well known Maison in Puligny-Montrachet, seven wines will be tasted with three courses.
After lunch continue to Aloxe-Corton on the plains of Cote d’Or escarpment, on the northern side of the Côte de Beaune region with a tasting of another six wines including three Grand Crus. Finally, visit one of the oldest houses of wine in Beaune – unofficial capital of Bourgogne wine country – where there is an opportunity for tasting another six specially selected wines.

Côte de Nuits tasting
Your private driver and guide will collect you and whisk you to the most well-known vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges, a lively town with a centuries-old history of winemaking, giving its name to the Côte de Nuits. Most of the wines grown are Pinot Noir, but there are some plots planted with Chardonnay. The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, Bourgogne’s most famous wine-brotherhood, was founded here in 1934. Your visit includes a tour, before tasting three Premier Cru and two Grand Cru wines.
It's then onwards to Gevrey-Chambertin, another famous wine-making village in the Côte de Nuits noted for Grand Cru wines. You will enjoy a lunch and wine pairing with a traditional Bourguignon menu at one of the top five domaines. Your driver will then take you back to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the facilities and relax.

Puligny-Montrachet to UK
This morning you'll be transferred to Chagny to board your train travelling directly to Paris and then Eurostar on your return journey to the UK.
