Stay in the lap-of-luxury at the five-star Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, where you'll be based for all three nights of this popular break. Situated adjacent to the Leopoldskorn Palace, you'll have the chance to walk the grounds and have access to many of the rooms and locations used in the iconic film – The Sound of Music. Arrival in Salzburg
Enjoy included airport lounge access before your flight to Salzburg, where a private transfer will bring you to your historic hotel, itself one of the filming location for the 1965 film, The Sound of Music. Rooms feature views of the Hohensalzburg fortress, Schloss Park or garden or views over the idyllic lake and majestic Untersberg mountain.

Start your Salzburg experience with a fantastic four-hour Sound of Music Tour. On the tour, you'll see that the ‘hills are still alive' with the sights and sounds of the classic movie. A wonderful introduction to the region, it will showcase the breathtaking views of the countryside, and locations used in the making of one of the most iconic musicals of the mid 20th-century. Relax and listen to the original soundtrack while you see and hear the scenery and places in real life. The tour will take you past many of the famous locations used in the movie, including the Leopoldskron Palace, the Gazebo at Hellbrun, and the area of St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang, where the wedding church is located.
Then, with free time on day three, take in the sights of the Salzburg, perhaps on a Mozart city tour, visiting many of the venues and historical locations associated with perhaps the region's famous son.

The Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron was bought and saved by Max Reinhardt, Europe's most famous theatre director and co-founder of the Salzburg Festival. it was the filming location for many of the outdoor movie scenes, but some of the main rooms in the palace such as the Venetian Room was completely replicated to be used as a film setting. It was the backdrop for the private performance of the marionette theatre
