A heritage building set in the heart of Lecce in Puglia, the Risorgimento is super stylish and respected for its delicate interpretation of past glories enlivened with contemporary design.
Rooms are swish, soundproof, replete with all mod-cons, and spacious, with some suites featuring in crystal lined walk-in wardrobes and private balconies. Almost all feature king-size beds, marble bathrooms and lashings of Lecce stone and parquet floors brightened with jewel-toned carpets or rugs.
There’s a roof garden too, to make the most of lingering views over the Adriatic and with dishes based on the region’s finest seafood, including Orecchiette with prawns. For more formal meals, the hotel’s gourmet restaurant serves up local ingredients with a flourish.
The Risorgimento is a perfect base in Puglia, surrounded by all of Lecce’s historical and baroque delights and within the easiest access to the Adriatic. After exploration there’s a rather fabulous spa to relax in, with a Turkish bath, a massage parlour and a beauty centre noted for its purifying treatments.
