Yukon Northern Lights

For many, the sight of the Aurora Borealis or ‘Northern Lights’ is a travel wishlist tick and this is an easy 3-day extension for any Yukon itinerary. It’s also available as an option from the beautiful city of Vancouver.

On arrival in Whitehorse there is the chance to explore the town, collect your winter clothing package and enjoy an early dinner before departing for the first of two Aurora viewing evenings. Head out of town to the viewing site which sits under the dark night skies; there is a cosy cabin close by offering warm drinks to keep out the chill.

A city tour of Whitehorse is included on day two before an afternoon free to relax and your second evening of Aurora viewing; perhaps tonight enjoy tales around a roaring log fire with your fellow spotters. You will return to your hotel at around 2am each morning.
